On September 28, 2016, Enso’s Oak Park dojo won the Village of Oak Park, Illinois‘ Fitzsimmons Public Health Award! We are grateful to karate parents Susie Donohue and Jude Nosek for nominating us. We’re humbled by their kind words and honored by the recognition.

The Fitzsimmons Award for Excellence in Public Health is named in honor of the Oak Park Health Department’s Medical Consultant from 1976-1992. Dr. Fitzsimmons was an Oak Park physician and humanitarian who volunteered his services to the Village for many years. The annual awards are presented by the Oak Park Board of Health and the Oak Park Department of Public Health.
