    Belt Exams

    Exam starts at 9:00 AM; arrival times vary according to rank

    Belt ExamBelt exams for kyu ranks (below black belt) will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Chicago dojo. Please see the eligibility list for arrival times (Sent by email to current students and available at the dojo).

    If you are eligible to test, please register by Friday, September 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Prompt registration is appreciated so that we can properly plan and organize the test day.

    If you are not testing, please remember that regularly scheduled karate classes are canceled on September 27, 2014 – but you can still come out to watch exams and support your classmates! Please contact us with any questions about testing. As always, all students and families are invited to watch our examinations for belt promotions.

    Fee: $35
    Fall Session tuition must be paid in order to take the test.

    Eligibility: Students who are on the eligibility list are permitted to take the exam.

    Register: Students must pay and register by Friday, September 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM in order to be placed on the exam-day roster. Receipt of exam fee payment confirms your spot in the exam.

    There are multiple ways to register:

    Make-up exam is Friday, October 10, 2014 at 7:00pm; Extra $10 fee. Please only attend this make-up exam if you cannot attend the belt exam on Saturday, September 27, 2014.  Register online for the make-up exam.
