Students can enter 1x/week. All entries will be put into a drawing for a large Adidas karate duffle bag.
At-Home Challenge #12: Red, White & Blue
When do you wear the flag or celebrate its colors? Maybe you have a great photo wearing Team USA gear, or just a special red, white, and blue outfit. Maybe someone you love serves in the military, and you’ve taken a photo with them. Or, maybe you have a special memory with your friends/family at a 4th of July picnic.
Balance is an important part of karate (and of life). Show us a creative way you can demonstrate your balance and control while standing on one leg! Submit your photos or videos — You can either post them to the private Enso Facebook Group, or you can email email@example.com.
Deadline: 6pm on Saturday, May 9th
At-Home Challenge #4: Quarantine Push-Ups
At the dojo, we sometimes do partner push-ups. While we’re at home, that may be more challenging. So, for this week’s challenge, take a video of yourself doing push-ups while balancing something on your back. It could be a stuffed animal, or your karate gear, or a puppy, or a sibling — feel free to get creative!
Deadline: 6pm on Saturday, May 2nd
At-Home Challenge #3: Thank You Challenge
Right now, life isn’t easy. But there’s also so much for which we are grateful. This week’s challenge is to create a sign dedicated to one person or group of people you’d like to thank. Maybe it’s health care workers, or a specific nurse or doctor you know. Maybe it’s your Amazon delivery person. Maybe it’s a teacher at school. Maybe it’s one of your parents or siblings or friends. Whoever you pick, make the sign special and then take a photo of yourself holding the sign.
Deadline: 6pm on Saturday, April 25th
At-Home Challenge #2: Creative Sparring Targets
Our second at-home challenge is to ask you to share photos or videos of whatever sparring target you’re using for your at-home kumite training. Submit your pics and vids to firstname.lastname@example.org!
Deadline: 6pm on Saturday, April 18th
At-Home Challenge #1: Share Your NON-Karate Fitness!
We’re very happy to see you all at karate training! We know you’re also keeping fit in other ways — yoga, running, dancing, basement workouts, ab challenges, plank challenges, and whatever keeps you moving. So, our first at-home challenge is to ask you to share photos or videos of whatever NON-karate things you’re doing to stay active. Submit your pics and vids to email@example.com!
