Sensei Saul Notario started training as a teenager in Tae Kwon Do in the Philippines, with the desire to learn how to fight and stand up against adversity.  When he immigrated to Chicago, he attended Degerberg Academy to study Kali and Muay Thai. He began his training in Shotokan karate under the instruction of Sensei  M. Bambouyani in 1995.  He currently holds the rank of Yondan (4th degree Black belt).  He values his martial arts training as teacher of great virtues in life such as humility, trustworthiness, honor, and courage.

Sensei Saul has been teaching classes to both adults and youth for many years, and has been an instructor at Enso since 2002.  Known for his rigorous classes and diverse martial arts knowledge, he currently teaches adult and youth classes at the Chicago dojo locations and is a coach for the Enso Elite Karate Team.  Sensei Saul is married with two children, and is an information technology professional and entrepreneur.
